TORFL Exam Levels (A1 - C2)
A1 Beginner
The initial stage of the exam. Expected to have minimal Russian knowledge to meet limited daily needs.
A2 Basic
Expected to have speaking, writing, and listening skills to sustain daily life.
B1 Intermediate (Level 1)
Requires intermediate Russian for basic communication in education and professional fields.
B2 Upper Intermediate (Level 2)
High proficiency level. The B2 certificate is required to obtain a Master's degree.
C1 Advanced (Level 3)
The individual can work in a Russian-speaking institution.
C2 Native (Level 4)
Proficiency equivalent to a native speaker.
